Wenhao Ding is a Research Intern with the Autonomous Vehicle Research Group. He is concurrently pursuing a Ph.D. candidate at Carnegie Mellon University. He received a Master’s degree from Carnegie Mellon University and a B.S. degree from Tsinghua University.

His research interests lie in safety-critical scenario generation, causal reinforcement learning, and their applications within the fields of robotics and autonomous driving. Specifically, he proposes algorithms designed to improve robustness by training agents against semantic adversarial examples, and to enhance generalization to novel tasks by discovering the underlying causality of the physical world.
