Sushant Veer is a Research Scientist with the Autonomous Vehicle Research Group at NVIDIA Research. In the past he was a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department at Princeton University. He received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Delaware in 2018 and a B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras in 2013. His research interests lie at the intersection of control theory and machine learning with the goal of enabling safe decision making for robotic systems. Sushant is a recipient of the Yeongchi Wu International Education Award for his work on the development of a standing wheelchair at the International Society of Prosthetics and Orthotics World Congress, 2013. He has also received the Singapore Technologies Scholarship (ST Engineering Pte Ltd) and Sri Chinmay Deodhar Prize (Indian Institute of Technology Madras).
