Gerry obtained his B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Science and Technology of China, MSc in mathematics from University of Paris VI, MPhil in Machine Learning from University of Cambridge.

He completed his Ph.D. research in Deep Learning under the brilliant guidance of Prof. Yoshua Bengio at MILA. Prior to joining Nvidia, he interned at Google Brain, Salesforce Research and Element AI.

Gerry’s research interest centers around agent learning, generalization, safety critical learning and their applications in autonomous driving and robotics. He is currently exploring object-centric learning for agent learning applications.
